Introducing Re/Icons: a concept celebrating brand heritage and signature styles, starting with Moncler Karakorum. An emblem of warmth and design excellence, the iconic 1954 puffer has been reimagined with three new iterations that tell the story of the jacket’s past, present and future.
The first of three reimagined jackets takes inspiration from the inscription and color of the wooden crates used in the first successful expedition to the K2 summit. Equipped by Moncer, Italian explorers Lino Lacedelli and Achille Compagnoni conquered the second highest mountain on the planet in 1954.
The ’80s youth culture phenomenon of the Milanese ‘Paninari’, who adopted bright Moncler jackets as their uniform, inspired the second style. A core part of the brand’s DNA is is seen in the ripstop iteration - instantly iconic Pop colors and a glossy texture.
A desire to improve, iterate, and perfect is reflected in the forward-looking jacket crafted from technical jersey. Deepest black even in its tiniest details, the jacket is enriched by future-facing extras such as customized buttons and double fasteners.
Soft shades: this colorway of the ripstop Moncler Karakorum is available exclusively online.
