The Excellence of Moncler Grenoble

It was in 1952, in a small town called Monestier-de-Clermont, that entrepreneur René Ramillon invented the Moncler jackets that would keep workers warm in the French Alps. Two years later, mountaineer Lionel Terray explored the potential of technical clothing for hiking by collaborating with Moncler on a special collection for the Italian Karakoram expedition of Achille Compagnoni and Lino Lacedelli. The two climbed the second highest peak in the world and thus began the Moncler brand's extraordinary journey into the world of mountain clothing. Since then, the brand's success has been built on its ability to develop innovative products that are firmly rooted in its history and redefine the term "luxury" for avid skiers and outdoor enthusiasts. But it was not until the 1970s that mountain clothing found its stylistic signature and became mainstream, bolstered by technical materials and technicolor tones. The ski look became part of everyday life: on and off the slopes.

The Moncler Grenoble line represents the highest level of connection between the allure of alpine clothing and the need for performance. Within the High Performance line, outerwear - waterproof, windproof and highly breathable - is enriched with innovative materials. In Grenoble menswear, the Hinterburg jacket made of recycled GORE-TEX or the Cerniat down jacket are perfect for the coldest days thanks to PrimaLoft® Gold insulation. In the Performance & Style section, the Isorno jacket in goose down and the Mazod model in recycled nylon stand out, while for Après Ski, the Tratten parka with longline bonnet and the Hostun reversible jacket provide just the right amount of warmth. The experienced skier's uniform is enriched by the gender-neutral Day-namic line: jumpers, hoodies, hats and scarves, garments that do not compromise on style and adapt to any occasion, from a walk in the park to a trip in the mountains.

In Grenoble womenswear, the key word is color: the vitamin shades range from bright red to metallics, neon details and graphic prints that stand out in the snow. The High Performance line includes the Teche jacket, a body-hugging silhouette available in red, black or white, and the Chanavey model, available in bright pink and green. The Performance & Style line features the Theys down jacket in red-orange technical nylon, the Valsorey jacket in gold or metallic blue, while the Après Ski line is enriched by the Arbois parka in white with neon accents and the Yvoire zip-up jacket. In keeping with the newly launched colors, accessories complete the look with bright hues and bold silhouettes, while an innovative collaboration with Reusch offers gloves and mittens with some of the best insulation technology in the industry.

Grenoble kidswear also pushes the limits of high-performance apparel with RECCO® reflectors and rugged, waterproof zippers. From the ultra-technical black Platz set to the pastel tones of the Corserey, available in ice blue, marshmallow pink and white, to the orange Mazod, the kids’ collection fully mirrors the styles and lines of the adult collection. With Moncler Grenoble, the fashion house once again excels in the balance between performance and style in the perfect mountain look, built for the most extreme ridges of the alps, but also for the city.
