Hiroshi Fujiwara's Ongoing Dialogue with Moncler

An Evolving Relationship

Some ideas reveal more each time they are revisited. Not because they remain unchanged, but because every return offers the opportunity to see them differently, through a new context, a subtle shift in perspective or a fresh cultural reference.

The relationship between Hiroshi Fujiwara and Moncler has unfolded in much the same way. Since the debut of 7 Moncler Fragment in 2018, the first Moncler Genius project, the collaboration has evolved through an ongoing exchange between Moncler's mountain heritage and Fujiwara's instinct for translating contemporary culture into something deceptively simple.

Over time, that perspective expanded through a series of distinct worlds and references. From Tokyo to cultural icons, from human connection to the story of Moncler and FRGMT itself, each project opened a new direction while remaining connected to a recognisable point of view. Rather than building a fixed aesthetic, Fujiwara has returned to familiar archetypes and everyday staples, altering them through construction, graphics, slogans and detail.

This is where the continuity lies. Not in repetition, but in the act of revisiting. Moncler's mountain heritage, technical expertise and craftsmanship meet Fujiwara's way of reading contemporary culture, allowing each project to become part of a larger story. What emerges is a method: to look again at what already exists, to reinterpret it and allow it to take on a new form.

A Distinct Point of View

Designer, DJ and producer, Hiroshi Fujiwara moves between music, fashion and design with a curatorial eye, turning wide-reaching references into a language that is unmistakably his own.

The Present Moment

As summer gives way to a renewed rhythm of city life, familiar references take on a different character. The latest Moncler x Fragment collection continues Fujiwara’s exploration of everyday archetypes, bringing American vintage influences together with distinct Japanese perspectives and Moncler’s outdoor heritage.

Here, mountain aesthetics are translated into lightweight city wear. The collection moves through utility, ease and graphic expression, balancing practical construction with the kind of subtle interventions that have long defined Fujiwara’s work. Checks, bold logos and playful animations create a familiar yet newly considered vocabulary, while the Japan–Italy visual language gives the project a cross-cultural centre.

Graphics remain key. They act as signals, connections and interruptions, drawing the eye across garments that are designed for the movement of contemporary city life. Rather than referencing the past directly, the collection reworks recurring ideas through the present moment, allowing them to feel immediate without losing their place in the wider Moncler and Fragment story.

Presented across men’s and children’s collections, Moncler x Fragment by Hiroshi Fujiwara extends this visual world into new contexts.

The dialogue continues in Moncler footwear with the Moncler Trailgrip Clarks Wallabee GTX, bringing together three distinct design languages in a new interpretation of a familiar archetype.
